Error loading protocol 0

I cant get rid of this error on bootup.
(Everything runs Ok)
I've deleted all protocols & nic & modem
Reinstalled, etc...
Using win98se & tcp/ip protocol only, using ASDL & DL-701 over LAN

What causes this error & how do I fixit?

I've seen this one before. If I remember correctly, this means that the machine you are trying to network has the same id (or IP)of another machine on your LAN. Try changing the name and the local IP of this machine to avoid any conflicts.

All machines have diffrent IP & Names.

sounds like there is a program in the startup that calls for another protocol other that tcpip. Strange.
