I have a strange problem. I have a cable modem installed and a second NIC to share it with. My cable connection to the internet works fine but my home network is not.
My IP of the cable netwok card is 10.0.0.150
and my home network is 192.168.0.1.....
Well here it come's...
When I ping my own home IP adres on the SAME computer then I get a TIMEOUT request.
I try'ed a different IP adres as a same A class of the cable modem but nothing i try's works.
Here is my current configuration:
First computer:
OS: Windows 2000
local lan->
IP: 192.168.0.1
SubN.: 255.255.255.0
Cable lan ->
IP: 10.0.0.150
Subn.: 255.255.255.0
Why can't i ping my Local IP adres and
how must i setup a home network sharing.
(i use SysGate 4.x)
Thanks
