This is the basic configuration, the question is at the bottom:
[Cable Modem]
|
|
[Linksys 4 Port Router]
192.168.1.1
| |
| |
[Computer 1] [Computer 2]
192.168.1.100 192.168.1.101
|
| Internet Con. Sharing
|
[Computer 3]
192.168.0.2
Ok, this setup works fine for me and all the computers are on the internet. The only problem that I'm facing is that Computer 2 cannot communiate with Computer 1. Computer 2 is the Internet Connection Sharing host for Computer 3, so it therefore has two Network cards and two IP addresses (192.168.1.101 from the router network; 192.168.0.1 from the ICS network). I don't know why I can't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, when I try to host some type of game on the internet, it's a gamble as to which IP address it will default to. Sometimes the router one and sometimes the ICS one. It's very odd.
