All,

My current configuration consists of my DSL plugging into the uplink of my linksys switch. I am running Sygate 4.0 with my Server having one nic plugged into the switch. My client has one nic plugged into the switch. Internet sharing is working as I can connect fine on both the Server and the Client. The problem is that I cannot see the internal network on either machine. The documentation for the Single NIC configuration has no mention of the internal network setup, only about sharing the internet connection. Can anyone tell me if this configuration supports both Internet sharing and a LAN setup? What could be going wrong here?

Thanks,

Hi,

I am new at this posting thing so please forgive.
I will attempt the exact setup you have tomorrow. I have just downloaded Sygate. I am not used to using a software router.. only hardware. I will also be using a linksys switch. My problem is that I am not sure how to set everything up. Iknow the hardware part but not the software part. As I understand it... cable services use a different setup then DSL that I am not familiar with. Something about using the computer name ? If you could email me this info I would really appreciate it. Since I do not usually post on boards I will read the email faster.

Thanks
