View Full Version : ok thx all
its not hub problem and not a autoselection problem with nic card because i have tried it on 4 different nic cards and have manually switched it to full duplex, i still get an IP address when i run full duplex but thruput drops to nothing....ohh and at the moment i am connected directly to the modem so not a hub issue

Try useing auto select or half duplex. This might help your problem. As Glc 1 said you do not need full duplex. This will cause your loss in bandworth. Cable runs better on have duplex if not running a network and auto select if you are useing a lan.
