ROUTER WITH IRC

i got a linksys router....and irc.gamesnet.net wouldnt let me connect to it anymore =(..but i am able to connect to efnet and others...can someone help me =0

the problem your getting if it is identd problems it is because your router will not allow either port 53 or 59 i cant remember through. well thats what some irc dude told me on dalnet but who knows i thought only firewalls blocked ports. routers block broadcasts so...who knows.

I have a Netgear ADSL router installed at home and in that one there is a possibilty to telnet to the root and change the portings on the router. In this case you will have to change the settings and add the ports and make them point to the machine you need too use them with.
