Whats the difference between a RJ45 UTP Patch cable and a RJ25 CROSSOVER CABLE, which is the better one to use.

UTP patch cable = Unshielded Twisted Pair patch (aka straight/straight through) cable
for connecting NICs to hubs and switches. Also used when attaching an uplink port to a regular port.

Crossover cable is used when attaching a NIC to a NIC and when attaching an uplink port to an uplink port or a regular port to a regular port.

Note that some cable/DSL modems require crossover cables while others require patch cables.
