View Full Version : RJ45 adapter
Is there such a thing as a RJ11 to RJ45 adapter, if so where can I pick one up? My DSL modem has a RJ11 connection only, but I have a Linksys BEFSR41 router that is RJ45, I am trying to link up 2 computers so that both can surf at the same time, Iam using winfire DSL.Any info would help.

There is no adapter for RJ45 to RJ11. You may plug an RJ11 into an RJ45 jack as long as the two center conductors are the ones used which is likely. All should work well for you.

I can't believe your router doesn't have an RJ-45 on the LAN side. Are you sure it has only RJ-11 connectors? I haven't seem any DSL modems that have a RJ-11 for the LAN connection.

rg, is your DSL modem internal or external? If external, is it Ethernet or USB?
