LAN questions

I have 2 comps linked by 2 networks cards and a X over cable. I have a linksys 1 port router I plan on settng up. Is it possible to share my DSL line with this setup, or do I need a network hub? If so, would somebody mind walking me through the steps on how.

You will need a hub or switch to make use of the router. In this senario, the modem goes to the router's WAN port and the router's LAN port goes to the hub. The computers attach to the hub. I recommend a switch for 3+ computers.

Yes, and remember you will need regular lan cables for the computers connected to the hub (not xover). Depending on the Hub you may need the Xover cable from the router to the hub.
