Hi, I have a problem with my Linksys 4 Port Router. I can't seem to play a game called "Tribes". All I could do is join the server, and after 2 min of gameplay I would drop...This happens to all the servers I go to. I'm using DSL w/ static IP. 2 Computers hooked to the router. Everything else works fine.

P.S. The computer I'm using to play "Tribes" is the DMZ host computer... I disabled "Block WAN Request" "IPSec Pass Through" "PPTP Pass Through" the same thing happens...
Thanks.
try forwarding the port or range of ports that the game Tribes uses. Then it should work just fine.

You need to re-enable "Block WAN Request" and go to the advanced tab of the routers configuration. Find out the port range that Tribes servers run on and place them in the forwarding tab along with the corresponding IP address that you run Tribes on.
For port forwarding to work properly you need to assign static IP addresses to each of the nodes that you play Tribes from. You can run port forwarding with DHCP enabled, but be warned that rebooting machines on your network could have different IP's assigned by the Linksys' DHCP server.

The ip's won't switch if you assign the static IP's your have set. If you use the DHCP feature the IP's will switch IF you boot the computer up in a different sequence.
You have to assign permanent IP addresses to all the computers on the lan. Not just the ones you play Tribes on. DHCP must be off.
