First off, does anyone know if Verizon DSL uses PPPoE? I have 2 computers and want to get DSL and a Linksys BEFSR41 to share the connection, but I hear PPPoE is much harder to setup. Second:

Right now, I have 2 totally separate pcs (one win98SE, the other winME). I have no network and no DSL. All I want to do is get DSL and share that connection through the Linksys router. Can anyone tell me what order to do this in? Should I get the router and set up the network first, then add the DSL? Or should I get the DSL, set it up on one computer, then set up the network? Or should I do them at the same time (and if so, I still need to know the best order to do them in)? Thanks for any help.

My verizon does not but I have heard other people do have PPPoe. As far as to setup with Linksys its very easy. Just go into the setup and choose enable PPPoe and put your ID and password in. To find out if you use PPPoe or not is do you have a user ID and password to log into DSL if so then you use PPPoe

Make it easy on yourself, pick up the phone and call Verizon.
