Advice with router setup

The instructions are a bit ambiguous, and though I understand most of it, the part where I'm puzzled is after you setup the primary machine to the router/cable modem, is the setup process with the second machine the same? Having a little problem distinguishing what happens after the connection is complete with the first machine.

Give me alittle more help please. What kind of router? What OS are you running? From you other post it sounds like the Linksys. So to setup more computers go into 192.168.1.1 and the DHCP section and add another computer the the DCHP table.

I've got a Dell p3-866 WinME with a Ugate 3000 router. As I've found out, it doesn't matter which PC is setup first or last.
