got my Ugate3000 router last night and have been doing some reading. The instruction book should NOT be this confusing to me...but it is. I still need to get the cat-5 cable, but after that I'm ready to go, because both my machines have 3com NIC cards in them. What can I expect after I set each machine to auto-configure and I connect both up to the router/cable modem tandem??
I'm a little concerned about going thru the auto-configure and losing my original IP address if something goes wrong. At first the instruction book looked pretty easy, then the more I read about wan/lan addressing and trying to figure out what data is supplied and what has to be entered has got me confused...but just a little bit(yeah!!).
I've read a few of the cable lan setup
topics and thought I had a pretty good feel for it, but......
