Is there any way to share a broadband connection with a hub, or do I need to uplink my hub to a router?

Oh, this is me again, if you do need to have a router, can anyone tell me of a very inexpensive router that has three or even less ports, because I already have a hub and don't want to spend money on a router that has some 10 ports when I only use three.

um what ISP do you have????
most likely your going to need a router especialy if you have cable.........
i have the netgear rt314......very good router if you want to serve online games, if all you do is surf the web then you might want to look at the linksys one, but it has many issues when you start hosting onling gaming here is a link that should help ya deside which router to get http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/hwrouter_chart_pg2.htm

You do not need a router. Would be easier and more efficient but you don't need one. If you use your HUB then you will either have to purchese IP's from your ISP or run a proxy. My opinion would be to buy extra IP's or get a router. If you should around the web you will find some place that are selling them cheap. I bought my Linksys when it first came out ad paid like 250 down you can get it for less than 200.
