DCC with Firewall

mIRC works for me but DCC doesn't seem to work at all unless i put myself on DMZ mode.
I am sharing internet with 4 other computer and we seem to always fight for DMZ.

is there a way to DCC on mIRC without entering my IP on DMZ mode???

I don't know why DCC isn't working, unless you enabled some type of firewall protection/port filters. Anyhow, to get DCC to work, specify a specific port for DCC in mIRC (File|Options|DCC|Options|DCC Ports). Then, going into your router and access the Advanced options, go to the Forwarding and enter the ports that you have chosen for DCC Ports. That should work.
