My Setup: Using client computer on a network.
I connect to the admin computer via 2 nics and a crossover cable. I use Winroute Lite networking software. Basically the DSL modem is connected to the admin on one nic and theres another nic that connects to mine via a crossover cable.

My Problem: I cannot host a game because when I host my game address is unreal://192.168.1.2:7777 . Someone told me this is not a "real" IP address but simply VPN. Therefore, no one else outside of my LAN can access my game. This presents a problem, and I am absolutely clueless as to how to get around it, any suggestions would be of a great help,
Thanks,
Drew

You need to have the WAN computer address the IP given to the NIC connected to the modem. The 192.168.... addresses are internal. You need to find the WAN IP address and use that for outsiders. You also probably have to forward port 7777 to the server's IP (192.168.1.....).

Run winipcfg, check the IP of the external adapter. Hard to tell you how to otherwise, need more details of your setup. Often your logon software will tell you what your provided WAN address is, if you have Cable, it could be static, if you have DSL, it could be dynamic, changing all the time.
