Ok...I want to try this game. A video store is renting Quake 3 Arena. So, I figure I can burn it. Now for the question. Is this the multiplayer game that everyone is playing or would I need to get a diff game?

That is the game, but you need a valid CD key to play. If they are letting ppl rent it, I bet several ppl have burned it and taken the number too....

a CD Key Generator ain't exactly to hardest thing to get. How about the game though. Is that the one peeps are playing online, and is that the actual game or is it an expansion set.

Quake is the game....there are expansion packs, but all you need is Quake for basic deathmatching. You can than download mods and play them too.

About the CD generator. It will allow you to play single player, but will not let youplay online. You'll need a valid key for that.

Ok, Thanks. I guess I'll have to go out and actually send some money then. I think this will be the first software that I have bought in 3 years. Oh well.

Nowhere on this thread did I ever mention Warez. Owning a key generator isn't illegal. All I said is that I haven't bought software in 3 years. Everyone knows warez is wrong and illegal. Why would I want to mess with stuff like that?

Yes Quake3 is the online game many peeps are still playing. Try it first to see how well your system plays it.

Q3A is a great game. I especially like the mod Q3 Fortress available at www.q3f.com. (http://www.q3f.com.) That's what made me finally go buy the game. It's over 80 megs to download and you can not update Q3A with the latest Point Release which I believe is 1.27H. You need to patch up to 1.17 only.

Q3F is all that I play, but lately I have had a terrible time with my cable service. Itis almost unplayable for me at the moment.

q3 is the easiest game i have ever burned. although it sucks imo compared to unreal tournament.
