cable made my ping go up :(

I finally went to cable after years of 56k with pings in the 300 range. Now my ping is 600+.....anyone got any ideas? Ive tried tweaks and patches which has helped the web surfing but the pings still remain high.

Try other servers. The servers you got decent ping on before (with the 56K) may not give u a good ping on cable. But if that's the sorta ping you get on all servers, I'd recommend complaining or maybe trying a different ISP.
