Unreal Tournament skins?

for unreal Tournament I downloaded some skins for the game. I can view them in the select skin area of the game but when I play online the skin changes to a default skin. How can I get it so that I can see the skin online and other people can see it as well? THanx alot for the help.

sorry but the only way you will see your skin online is if the server you are playing on has that skin. If you start your own server you can add it.

just so you understand why this is happening, its because not everyone playing online has the skins you have and in order for them to see them they would have to d/l them.
I dont know how clear that is, but hope it helps some more.

I understand that but I can't even see the skins.... It just switches back to a default skin.

you have to enter the skin name into the UT.ini file, under {engine.gameengine}
go to www.epunster.com (http://www.epunster.com) for instructions on installing skins, go to the UT page.
