Linksys/Tribes help

I installed a 4-port Linksys router between my cable modem (Road Runner) and my PC and ever since I've had trouble playing Tribes. I can connect to a server through GameSpy or simply through Tribes and I'll play for 5 to 20 minutes before I get booted. I forwarded ports 28001 and 28900 (since I'm only playing on servers that use these ports) and the trouble appeared to go away. However, a couple of days later it started again. Sometimes I get the boot and other times I can play as long as I want. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Firmware version 1.36.

Have you tested playing without it?

Yea. After I experienced the problem, I removed the router. After that I was good to go. It definitely has something to do with the router.
