I have got a VooDoo 4 card in my machine it was given to me for a birthday present. Yea i know VooDoo is no more and was bought out by Nvidia. i have the latest drivers for it i think. But the problem is on a game such as Age of Empires II when putting resolutions to 1024X748 image is very bad. Only good at 860x480. I would think that VooDoo 4 card would be able to handle this since this game does not really have heavy 3D graphics if at all. My concern is what if i play games like Counterstrike, Soldier of Fortune etc.. I was told that this card could handle these games. I haven't installed them in my computer as of yet. But Looking at my age of Empires game i am starting to get skeptical. Do i need to make sure of certain adjustments or setting for using this card. I don't really want to buy a new one. Everyone has told me that VooDoo 4 should do. What do you all think

The V4 is as a bit faster than a V3 3500, but it will do 32bit colour. Did you make sure you git rid of all your old display drivers?

Hmmm, and you are using the latest drivers??

What are your system specs? Maybe your CPU is your bottleneck.

Just got a brand new system.
AMD T-Bird 800Mhz
asus A7v mobo
256 pc-133 RAM
WinME
VooDoo 4

Like i said i havent tried any other games on it besides Age of Empires, i wouldn't call it a 3D intensive game like counterstrike etc.. i have a strange feeling i need to adjust something on the card. I am a brand new to gaming and video cards so maybe i have to adjust some settings. All i did when i had the video card put in was install the game and started playing didn't really mess with anything else. what do you think? For all i know it may run fine on the other games.
