Go to your modem advanced settings and turn error control off. In the extra settings box u want to put the init string to turn ur modem connect speed down to about 35,000- 38,666. if you have a 3com its AT&N25
next go to control panel/networking and turn ipx header compression off.
these settings give me a 120 and below ping with 56k..
