If anyone has RCN Cable or DSL from Verizon please post your ping test to www.zone.com. (http://www.zone.com.) My RCN Cable pings on avg of 240ms to zone.com which is crap. I heard that DSL gives better pings so post them.
Type at C:\>ping www.zone.com (http://www.zone.com)

You are test the wrong thing there, it always depends on how fast the server is, how crowded it is, and what its doing, and so on.... go to www.2wire.com (http://www.2wire.com) and get yourself a bandwidth test, they are free, and it will show you your overall performance, not what you get through an overcrowded game center.
Pings are more important than bandwidth when it comes to gaming, and more bandwidth doesn't necessarily equal better pings.
DSL generally yeilds better pings -- especially SDSL -- than cable. Therefore, it is usually better for gamers. However, it ultimately depends on your area/provider.

I Have ADSL (768/128)from Verizon and It Works Just fine. I Get Really Low Pings In All The Games I Play. I play Half-Life TFC And get 100ms pings all the time with server booked with 20 people. I don't know about MSN gaming zone though. I've Just recently started to play there and not to familiar with their system. Here's My Results From MSN Gaming zone.
