ping in UT

I need help how is it possible to raise my ping in unreal tournament. I have dsl and ping like i have dial up. What can i do please respond..........

Raise your ping? you want a low ping... try the patches here

Try changing ur netspeed in ur ut.ini:

56k bout 2500 to 4000
isdn bout 5000 to 8000
cable 9000 to 12000

When you say "netspeed" are you talking about the "MaxClientSpeed"? Just wondering because I have been wanting to mess with mine but im not sure it that's the command. Thanks !

If you want to change your netspeed, you don't have to open up any UnrealTournament.ini file. Just start the game, pop open the console (the ~ key) and type "netspeed XXXX" w/ out quotes

56k around 3000
cable/dsl runs ok at 10000

I would assume netspeed is the equivalent of rate in quake based games, so set it to whatever you have it in half-life, q3, etc. Also I don't suggest setting it above 8000 for cable, but dsl might be able to go a bit higher(depending on your line).

For a 56k connection put your Maxnetspeed at 2600.. This way when you connect you will connect at 2600 and not at 10000 for a cable connection.. That will lag you bad..

So try 2600.. thats a 56k netspeed.
