I need help with fps

I have a 233mhz, 128ram and voodoo2 card. Whenever there are a lot of people on the screen, the fps go to an embarrasing 7 or 9!!
it gets so choppy the sound crackles. I need help getting it better some how by tweaking or by console w/o getting a new card. Can some body give me some suggestions? Thx http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/wink.gif

It's you computer! I had the same setup, and while playing TFC/CS online, it crawls with ppl on it. Hehe, didn't even try Q3A on it http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif

Tone down all the gfx and sound. Looks like it's time to upgrader that PC though.

might be the processor speed?! the ram is ok but the speed is kinda slow.. they cant process that much info I guess..
