Optical mouse problem

Everytime I use my Logitech Dexxa optical mouse in Halflife games it locks up and I have to reboot. I think it happens when I lift up mice. Seems to work fine in all other applications like MS office. Is my white melamine desk the problem?

I don't think that the color of your desk would cause it to reboot. Perhaps it is a driver conflicting with Half Life? Did you install the mouse drivers that came with the mouse? What OS are you running?

I am pretty sure that there is a driver issue somewhere....

Yeah i would look for the Updated drivers for it if you haven't sp far.. It wouldn't be the color of the desk lol..

try the drivers..

Never really heard of a mouse causing problems by freezing up.

Yeah, I've already got the latest drivers. Mentioned desk b/c other forums stated that reflective surfaces cause problems with optical mice. I agree, sounds funny!
