DirectX 8 ?????

Can anybody tell me if DirectX 8 Inproves performance Using Glide instead of Direct3D ??

And anything else it improves.

I might be wrong, but Glide is a separate API. It's only coded for 3dfx cards and 3dfx has stopped making new versions of it.

you are correct, ssjDoh. Glide is 3dfx's proprietary API. its a additional graphics language (from Open GL and Direct3D) that only 3dfx cards use. didn't know they stopped making new versions, but that doesn't really surprise me. http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif
