I just got adsl from BellSouth. It works good most of the time but I get disconnected from BellSouth when I launch an Age of Empires multi-player game from www.zone.com. (http://www.zone.com.) Its a problem even without the Zone Alarm firewall. I have a single computer with win98 and an Efficient Networks ADSL (USB) Speedstream 4060 modem. I usually can't get as far as actual game play before being disconnected. My 56k still works though.
I am a newbie when it comes to broadband, so I have no idea how to begin to troubleshoot this problem. Please help!

Thanks Cable Guy. Good news at least tentatively. The word out there seems to be that alot of people are having trouble with the SpeedStream 4060 dsl modem. One Bellsouth tech told me there are conflicts with SoundBlaster that dont have a fix yet, and another told me that the 4060 is just very sensitive to interference from such things as speakers and cordless phones. So why is this good news? The good news is that given the 4060 problems BellSouth sent me the 3060 instead (at no charge) and so far its working good. Hardly any disconnects during the first day anyway. The 3060 is a PCI modem, whereas the 4060 which is USB based.Happy gaming everyone!
