asdl problem with nhl2k ip(please help)

K, with DSL I am familiar with you get a new IP everytime you reboot. Check your current IP by running winipcfg or ipconfig in Win2k and make sure that is the address you use in the game.
Another thing, make sure you dont have a firewall on when you run the game.

I have asdl and i am having trouble hosting a nhl2k game.It shows my internal ip,and i have also tried my external.The only way i can play is by their ip.I have an ethernet card.Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

Thank you Batleship for you reply.I have tried to using my internal and external ip,the game show my intenal ip,and winipcfg also show my internal,Is there any way i can get the game to pick up my external ip?I have done a port check also and there all open.I don't have norton or any other fire wall programs.Please let me know what you think.

Hmmm.. I have played games of Nhl2k,Q3 and UT served by my friend who has DSL(BellHSE) with no problems at all except for his low upload cap. I am by no means a DSL expert since I use cable but I really dont see why this is not working for you. One thing I can suggest is to try and host another game(say UT or Q3) to see if it is just that particular game which doesn't wanna work with your setup or there is something stopping you from serving.
Try posting this topic on the cable/DSL page you might get more responses that way since it seems not many people go to the online gaming forum. You might get some more responses.
