Packet Loss

Have cable modem and play Unreal Tournament, and getting decent pings(50-150), but getting very high packet loss(20-25%). What could be the problem. Have Adelphia cable with Surfboard modem.

Have you used and patches to try and speed up your downloading? If so which ones? What are your PC specs too?

Used SGuide_tweak_98.zip patch. I run Windows98SE, have PIII-500, 128MB Ram
