View Full Version : Any new FPS games coming up soon?
Just wondering. I don't keep track of them like I use to.
It seems like quality FPS games just don't hit the market enough (like they use to).

BF1943 was supposed to release this fall/winter but now nobody really knows..EA won't give a release date even after several damn months that the game has been out on consoles. :irate:
Crysis 2 is to release next spring..I think in March.
BF3 will be out in 2012 but the world will end shortly there after....

Same answers as your June thread.
Rage is still the next big thing.
Call of Duty: Black Ops? I just got a pre order email from NewEgg.

I wouldn't accept that game if it was free, every COD game since COD4 looks and feels nothing more than a re-skin and/or mod of COD4. Rage may look good but with a release date a year from now it's no where near my "coming soon" list.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me. :p

Homefront coming Feb 2011, but this will likely fail as its being made by Kaos - builders of the failed Frontlines Fuel of War.
Crysis 2 is on the top of my list, I'll skip anything that has to do with Call of duty since it would seem Treyarch is now wanting to screw over PC gamers even more by charging you to have a dedicated server up. It wasn't bad enough that each and every release after 4 looks and plays like a Mod of COD4.
Whatever happened to the days when these things were coming out all the time. Now it seems like you have to wait forever.

You can thank Consoles and greed for that.

I would say it has more to do with longer times for developing engines/cut scenes and less companies left in the scene.

No it all comes down to the Consoles, look back to when there wasn't such a push for 360,ps3 and wii games coming out with intense graphics and now with online playing ability. When you factor in the costs of the games and the fact that they are harder to pirate you damn straight you can thank Consoles for the drop in PC games.
It's sad because I have enough disposable cash to buy 2 or 3 games a year and I think a lot of other people do too. Why someone isn't tapping into that I just don't know.
I know it has to do a lot with story lines and such but... just give me something that looks good and I can go around shooting at things. Is that too much to ask?

Jawz and I have been playing the hell out of TeamFortress 2 - I like it, pretty good run around and shoot game which I believe your looking for.
