I would like to host games for Rogue Spear occassionally, but find that nobody can connect to my games. I have reconfigured my network settings statically and can join games without a problem. When I try to launch a game no error messages come up, the program opens normally, but nobody can enter my game. I have tried on Gamespy as well as MSN Zone. PLZ HELP.

I only have one machine hooked up to the cable modem and have all updated drivers for my video, audio, and network card.

do you know for a fact that they are trying to access it?

The problem may be that you have weapon mods and the people trying to join do not. I had the same prob and had to reinstall RS so that I can host. Try it I'll bet it fixes the prob. Good Luck!

The only way i could host (oh FYI, I'm PPPoE) was to set the IP under the MP SERVER tab to my actual IP. It sucks playing on the Zone because I have to laumch RS to set the IP, leave it running and then when I lauch the game for the joining players it ends up launching another RS prog. But hey it works. If you are creating a manual join game then you only have to set the IP and your good to go.

slurppie - that is because you are trying to host behind your router. I don't think he has the same problem.

Sorry! I host RS fine right now (after a clean install) but I don't have a router yet. I also have @Home. I'll be picking one up in about a week. I think I'm going to get the Linksys befsr41 so I can hook the other 2 comps in, what kind do you have?
