i am typing this from a machine on my LAN system at home. This is a client machine. I am able to surf the web and do all sorts of networking within the system, but i cannot use outlook express, MIRC or even real player.
in IE i use a proxy of 10.100.100.1 and OE is supposed to mimic the settings of IE, but it just tries to connect for ever. is there something i am missing? what should i check for?
btw i use avirt soho as my sharing program
Copied this directly out of avirt on line documentation
"To use client email applications with Avirt Soho does not require special settings inside of the email client. The email client should use the normal settings provided by the Internet Service Provider. The only change will be to set Outlook to use a LAN connection for Internet access. To do this select Tools, Accounts, Mail. Then select the proper mail account and click on Properties. Go to the Connection tab a select "Connect via modem if the LAN is not available."
Go to Avirt.com hit search and type your question I use Avirt suite with 10 computers and the email function of avirt all my programs work just fine the only things I'm having problems with are AOL which my daughter keeps insisting on paying for and netmeeting which Avirt is still working on to support all the avirt programs work well with cable/DSL/PPPoE I have it running in three office's now
