I have Win98SE installed as my "server" in conjunction with ICS. In order to share files between the Win98 server and my other computer, I turned on file and print sharing but only have it bound only to the lan side network card, not the cable modem side. Should be secure but the Gibson Research Shields Up website tells me that it is a security risk even though I also have Norton Internet Security 2000 installed. Is having F&P Sharing installed this way truly putting me at risk?

It shouldn't if you are using some kind of firewall & you don't already have a trojan installed. Run the tests at Gibson's site & let's see the results.

I did run the tests and they reported that I should turn off f&p sharing.
