I've been running Norton Internet Security. It's got an easy-to-use set of parental controls that work well on my kids' computer. The security features also seem to be pretty effective. I've run the tests on the Gibson Research site (http://grc.com/) with very good results. What would a product like BlackICE add that Norton doesn't offer (except maybe for BlackICE's feature of trying to track whoever tries to hack you)? Any opinions?

I don't know if ur using cable, or have any problems with speed, but I read this in the cable/dsl forum.

Just wanted to share my experience. I was receiving terrible download speeds from my
cable modem. The rr techs keep saying your connection is OK. So I just decided to
remove Norton Internet Security 2000 from my computer and Whoa. My download speeds went from 50kb to 200kb.

What a resource hog. So the moral of the story is if you have a program you suspect is
a resource hog, try removing it bofore attempting any downloads, it may help.

Just thought I would point this out.
