Hello. I am having 2 problems with InoculateIT. It is when you try to start the program, it freezes at the splash screen. I've tried to re-download it and re-install it but that won't fix it. Does anyone know whats wrong? Another problem is with Auto-Download. I run ZA and when I try to run Auto-Download it gets as far as connecting but never downloads. If I turn ZA off, it works. I allow that program (Auto-Download) all privleges (including Server). How do I fix both of these (especially the 1st one)? Anyhelp would be great! Thanks!
EDIT: The Download problem is fixed but the damn thing still freezes.

are you running 2 av programs? if you are that might be the problem. 2 av programs CAN (but might not) cause problems.

No, Inoculate is the only one.

I am assuming you are running Windows whatever as your operating system. You should try shutting down all the programs that are running in the background. Then execute InnoculateIt to see what effect that has. If all goes well, then you are having a conflict with one of those processes you terminated. Now do a process of elimination to find out which one it is. It may take awhile, but what the heck.....that is the antivirus you have chosen to protect you. Don't get me wrong, that is an excellent av program....I just choose to use AVP by Kaspersky Labs for my own reasons :D

If for some reason the above gets you nowhere, I will have to take a pass on this one as the time to diagnose it would go well beyond that which is available to me.

Good luck to you.....

I already tried that. I think I have stumped InoculateIT support too. LOL I hope this eventually gets fixed.

I can't help you with the splash screen freeze, but I've run into the same problem with Auto Download, and I'm using BlackIce Defender. As soon as I change the settings on BID from "Paranoid" to "Trusting," then Auto Download works perfectly. Since this is something that I do about once a week, I see no point in trying to fix the problem--I just lower my firewall for the 10 seconds it takes to download the update.

So what did you end up doing to make your Auto Download work with ZA?

Just curious,

hey tekelberry
I have had the same problem with InoculateIT and ZA Pro....never did figure it out...so I work around it by reducing my security level, doing the download, then increasing the security level.
On another PC which has InoculatIT and Tiny, it works fine, but not with ZA Pro.
I know that is not a solution, but someone in here may have a better fix for both of them working together with the autodownload of InoculateIT.

Put the ip of ftp.ca.com in your local zone properties...this is how za works...some apps dont work well with it so u have to do that

I had the same problem. Turns out I had to download the new version of IT and then things worked fine. They upgraded to a new version and that rendered the old one useless for me :( Hope this helps
