View Full Version : Cable Modem and DLink Wrouter only give one connection

We have comcast modem hooked to Dlink wrouter and from there to PC or Xbox.
Unfortunately, the xbox only responds when the computer is unplugged and visa versa. We could get another modem with 2 ports but that is more monthly bill. Is the ISP limiting us or does this sound like the routers fault?

Which model DLink?

The DLink wireless router is DI-524
I also have on hand a Linksys WRT54Gv8 loaded with ddwrt

I have the feeling that the Dlink has an improper DHCP or IPdyn/stat setting.
