Is there anything I can do to help make gaming more consistent (My pings are fine, but I often find what I see doesn't match up with the server, eg I'll get shot where I was about a second before, despite everyone having <50 ping, this shouldn't be happening). Among other things, I can notice much larger delays happening.
I've tried the speedtweak vista tweak cmd but if anything it made it worse.

My router is a DG834v3 with latest firmware, firewall disabled as far as it'll let me (I read SPI can cause packet loss?) on 10mbit ADSL.

Your mtu is off though what type of connection you have dsl cable?

Sp1 causing packet loss I never heard of it that hapeening in fact I know sp1 ans sp2 did have some wireless networking enhancements ,and other wired networking imporvoements.

Yeah think the MTU in Windows is causing fragmentation? Might explain some of it.
It's aDSL (9800/950 sync on average), using ethernet not wireless.
My MTU is set to 1492 in the router (1500 has the occasional dropout), I used to run it on 1460 by default. Any idea why it's being forced to 1460 ?

probably cause the router is set to 1500 and the comp is 1492 and probably has mtu discovery on by default. Keep both at 1492 another one to try is 1454 ,or 1452 i heard in some cases it works better. Make sure they are same for both rotuer and comp.

I'm guessing my DSLAM forces it to 1460. So nothing I can do about that I suppose.
