Interesting...you don't really hear to much about Linux viruses running around.

not a real problem, if you keep all the standard configurations in linux you will be vulnerable for lots of things. So if you start using linux make sure you really get to know what you're working with. Linux is really great, so i'm kinda disappointed that every client i go to they use windows.
but that's the problem windows is still to much main stream. Let's go for linux people and drop windows... I wonder if Gill Bates uses windows or linux????? :D

The problem with Linux and being mainstream is that it is not as easy to use as Windows is. With Windows, it's all point and click and pretty straight-forward, while with Linux, there's a lot more to it. I'm not knocking Linux, it's a much better OS than Windows in the right, capable hands. You can configure and customize pretty well everything in Linux.
But with normal users, they're not going to know how to rebuild their kernel, compile things, etc.
