I am currently trying to manage a small business network (windows 98 - based TCP/IP) with an ISDN 128K internet connection. The problem is that i have found certain users to access some very dangerous, for the network, sites and that they are downloading files from them, having as a result their PC's to be infected by viruses/trojians and consequently to affect the network. Now, the ISDN connection is done through a LAN modem which distributes internet to each user through a connection to the main hub. What i want is, to be able to block certain ports and/or certain web sites to be accessed by specified users e.g. network IP 192.168.0.xxx to be blocked from accessing www.xxx.com (http://www.xxx.com) or port 125. Can this be done with any known software or firewall, having the ability to apply rules for each user of the network?
Tiny Personal firewall allows you to block and unblock certian ports and ip adresses. it's free checkout http://www.tinysoftware.com
It isn't free for Business use! :)

Arent you using proxy software???? Most proxy's allow you to block certain aspects of the web, like FTP, socks, HTTP, NNPT, POP3, SMTP.
you can find the best proxies at
www.cyberarmy.com (http://www.cyberarmy.com)
you can also find reference links at my homepage http://gc0de.ghettohacker.org

Remember, i am not talking about the ports in My PC, but any port in any PC that uses the Network.
