I am trying to troubleshoot my friends wireless network problem. He has a
Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista. The hard drive crashed and since it
was replaced he can't connect to his home wireless network. I borrowed his
laptop and the laptop connected to my network without a problem. Thinking
it was a router problem I took my laptop to his house and was able to
connect without a problem. The only way he can connect is through a
unsecured security setting. I was able to at times set the security to WEP,
WPA, and WPA2 but when the computer was rebooted it was unable to connect to
the network. Any help would be appreciated.
