Just got ATT dataconnect up and running. Because it will be used as my parents sole connection, I need advice on limiting the data usage. They will basically just web browsing, checking e-mail, and playing hearts online. Their will be no audio or video streaming and no major file downloading.
Are there any settings I can tweak to limit the unecessary downloads, like image files that most pages load? I turned off any "automatic downloading/updating" features. I recommended that they go down to a Wi-Fi hot spot for major updating purposes. I also keep "pop-up blocker" turned on.
