Hoi!

As you'll come to realise, I'm a bit of a scrub on this field.. But I've had it up to my neck with an issue involving my SpeedTouch Multimodem ST780 WLT.
The problem involves what seems to be random rebooting of the modem at varying intervals. All the lights shut off except for the power lamp, and the modem turns itself back on as usual.

The issue has been present since we got the new connection and modem installed here about 7 months ago, and has seemingly not changed at all. At that time there was already an internet connection in the house, but it was too weak and unstable to fit our needs. We've done the basic procedures of resetting, reconfiguring and rebooting the modem numerous times without luck, so after some intensive googling, I figured that it might be a power level issue as the modem physically restarts instead of just terminating the connection.

Here's where my question comes in; would anyone be so kind as to interpret the readings I'm about to take from my modem overview panel, and alternatively ask for more information if needed? I'm not really aware of which numbers/letters I need to paste here, so I'll just try and cram in all the stuff that seems relevant! Let's hope I don't type anything that's supposed to be private D:

bandwith is how much speed your modem is register for
Snr is signal to noise ratio
Crc error is cycle redunccy errors
the power is how much power is transmited on the cable line itself if i'm not mistaken.

I"m not a cable tech ,but here is guide to help you figur it out http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1197

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 13,0 / 18,5

Output Down is to high

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 18,0 / 6,5

SNR Up is to low

So according to the link posted by mccoffee your signal is horrible. the tech that installed should have checked the levels. Might not be an issue with your house tho. i had issues with cable back in the day and a tech changed a tap on the pole and replaced it with the wrong db tap. (tap value should go down from the source. he installed a tap with a higher value behind a lower value and messed up the whole street lol) so def call tech support. give them the levels after they walk you thru all the BS steps (resettin everything blah blah blah)
