I get this error message that doesn't let me run the proggy. It repeats . . .
"minilog.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point MoveFileExEx could not be located in the dynamic link library VSUTIL.dll."
I don't know what to do . . .I am running WIn2k if it matters

You need to make sure you have Zone Alarm completely removed from your system (all files and folders) then reinstall. I had that problem once too.

Nope . . . it worked a little. I unistalled everything manually and I rebooted and I didn't get the error. I re-installed it and I got a mini.log error during installation and rebooted and found the same error waiting for me http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/frown.gif I don't know what to do . . .

Did you also edit the registry for all references to ZoneAlarm?

How do you do that?

Run REGEDIT and search the registry for any reference to ZA or ZAPRO or ZoneAlarm. Use the F3 hotkey. Back up your registry first!

I assume you installed ZoneAlarm 2.1.44 and it is in the default directory. True reinstalling. Sine Win2k is new ZoneLabs should work this out soon, but it's been a while.

Hey fubarman, I'm waiting to hear from sol. He had the same problem and resolved it somehow. In reading the instructions on Zone Alarm Pro, It says that you do NOT have to uninstall the free version, it will install over it. So why don't you try installing the free version first, then install Pro. It is worth a try. Let me know.

I can't even install the regular Zonealarm!! I get the same exact error. I even tried to re-install the Win2k Service Pack 1 and no luck. . . I'm really stumped http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/frown.gif

Hey fubarman, I use 98SE, but you should have a file checker tool in Win2k. I would the file checker, then try maint. (defrag, scan disk-thorough and repair) then reboot and try to install again. Maybe someone else has some other ideas as I'm not familiar with Win2k.

Nope, I got the same error as Headshot!
The VSNETUTIL.DLL file is linked to missing export VSUTIL.DLL :MD5Lnit
Windows\systems\zonelabs\VSMON.exe
and now I don't remember how I resolved it. I think that I uninstalled using ZA's uninstall, not thru the control panel, and then rebooted before reinstalling. If I remember right, you do not have to reboot between uninstall/reinstall, but it would not work correctly until I did.
