Hi, I was trying to install ZoneAlarm pro tonight. I first un-installed my older version by going into control panel and I used the add/remove icon. Then I removed any folders related to ZoneAlarm. But when I tried to install either the new or old version I get the following error:
The VSNETUTIL.DLL file is linked to missing export VSUTIL.DLL :MD5Lnit
Windows\systems\zonelabs\VSMON.exe
Arggg....
-Thanks

Sounds Like you might have deleted a dil it share with windows. You might get better results downloading it from the web site. That if you are not already doing that. GoodLuck!

Hi, I was able to install the older version of ZoneAlarm. I don't know how I did it but atleast it works. It was kind of freaky logging on without ZoneAlarm there. Thanks!

Hey headshot! I posted this on another thread, but will put it here for you also. I read the info on ZAPro and it says that you do NOT have to uninstall the free version. So why don't you install Pro again without uninstalling the free version. It is worth a try as Pro is better.

I had the EXACT same problem - I got the same message, and couldn't reinstall either program. I just can't remember how I solved it... I think that I uninstalled ZA using ZA's uninstall, not the control panel, shutdown, rebooted, and tried again. And then it worked. I nevef did figure out what was wrong.
