ICQ/CuteFTP/mIRC | Linksys Router

I just recently got the router, I have everything setup and working fine web/e-mail/newsgroups. My ISP is @home.

I have been having problems with file xfers with ICQ and mIRC. I am running the lastest version of both. Also I have a friend that hosts an ftp on a port other than 21 and I cannot connect to his site, it verifys my login/password and then just sits. I check the Linksys and ICQ sites for fixes but none have worked for me so far. I know that I can use DMZ, but I don't want to open myself up if there are other options. My question/request is.. Does anyone have any info on how I can setup my software (router/icq/mirc/cuteftp)?

Any answers, links, suggestions, input, food and money would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try going to www.timhiggins.com. (http://www.timhiggins.com.) They have a listing of all the ports used for various programs. Hopefully it will work for you, as I had absolutely no luck with port forwarding on this router. I am currently looking for a way to get video conferencing to work....
