Hi,
My wireless internet connection is too slow. A friend brought his laptop over today which is comparable to mine (HP/Vista 32-bit/2GB-ram) and we tested our connection speed via speedtest.net in 5 different browsers (IE7, IE8, FF3, S3, O9) on both computers and his connection speed was way faster than mine.
I use Comcast Cable and subscribe to a 6Mb connection. He pulled average 15Mb/s down and 2Mb/s up in all browsers while I was only pulling 2.5~3Mb/s down and about the same up. We tested our connection speeds one at a time with the same exact programs running (or not running). When hard-wired, I will pull 20+Mb/s down.
So surfing the net tonight, I found this page here on SpeedGuide: http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2574 and followed the suggestions, but didn't see any difference.
