Would a New Router and Modem make a Difference?

So currently i have a WRT-55AG Lynksys Router

and a Touchstone TM502g Modem

Currently the Router i have has bad reviews, and the modem i have is Basically Unknown.

I have an internet speed of Download:25,000 and upload:400
There are 2 other computers accessing my network along with me.
I get ok ping in tf2, but it depends really on the server.

Would i get faster speeds and would it be enough for the money?

Also in things like xbox live i get horrible connections and im losing it all the time and in Netflix streaming it always says my connection has slowed and they need to alter the quality to make it stream better and stuff.

The modems are fine, Arris makes some good cable VoIP modems.

Newer routers of a more current generation are have faster CPUs and more RAM than older models..such as above, you will find greater speed, and wireless range, on newer models. Some newer models have QoS features too.
