Good day,
I did some of the broadband tweaks suggested in this site and though my internet seems to have improved, whenever I'm playing wow and open mozilla, or use ventrillo, i get lag spikes in the game, (though my in-game latency bar doesn't change) I used to surf and play wow at the same time, all the time, but after using the tcp optimizer, tweaking dns caching, TcpTimedWaitDelay, and checksum offloading, also whether enabling nagle's algorithm or not, i still get the same problems. I was wondering if i did something wrong.
here is my tcp analysis:
« SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results »
Tested on: 02.21.2009 09:00
IP address: 120.28.xxx.xxx
Client OS: Windows XP
TCP options string: 020405820103030001010402
MSS: 1410
MTU: 1450
TCP Window: 64860 (multiple of MSS)
RWIN Scaling: 0 bits
Unscaled RWIN : 64860
Recommended RWINs: 64860, 129720, 259440, 518880, 1037760
BDP limit (200ms): 2594kbps (324KBytes/s)
BDP limit (500ms): 1038kbps (130KBytes/s)
MTU Discovery: ON
TTL: 42
Timestamps: OFF
SACKs: ON
IP ToS: 01010000 (80)
Precedence: 010 (immediate)
Delay: 1 (low delay)
Throughput: 0 (normal throughput)
Reliability: 0 (normal reliability)
Cost: 0 (normal cost)
Check bit: 0 (correct)
DiffServ: AF22 010100 (20) - Assured Forwarding class 2, medium drop precedence (RFC 2597).
I'd like to find out what's causing the problem
btw, my MTU is stuck at 1450, because I think the ethernet modem provided by my ISP Globe broadband, cannot be tinkered with.
At the TCP optimizer, the slider is at 1024
MTU 1450
TCP recieve window: 64860
MTU discovery: yes
Black Hole detect: no
Selective ACKS:yes
Max Duplicate ACKs: 3
TTL: 64
Local Priority: 5

DefaultTOSvalue: 80
MaxNegativeCacheTtl: 0
NetFailureCacheTime: 0

LAN Browsing Speed: Optimized
LAN request Buffer Size: 16384
My ethernet is set to: 10MB Full-duplex
DSL Provider: Globe Broadband (1MB)
Location: Philippines

Thank you for your time.
