Hi,
I have a Motorola surfboard 5120. I disconnected it from my router and hooked it up directly to my laptop. I rebooted the modem and got assigned an ip address in the range of 68.xxx.xxx.x. I am unable to connect to 192.168.100.1. The browser loads a blank page. I tried both firefox and IE with same results. I tried disconnecting the cable and power cycling the modem. I then got an ip address assigned of 192.168.100.2. I tried to use the browser to goto 192.168.100.1 with no luck. I know I could get this page in the past ie: several years ago. I wonder if my modems web server is bad, or maybe the cable co. disabled it since my last successful connect. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks DR

Shouldn't have to disconnect your router, you can get to it from behind your router (unless your routers LAN side is 192.168.100.xxx)

Thank you for that information, but I already know that. The issue is the page doesn't load, there is nothing there, only a blank page. Even after cycling the power on the modem several times, and eliminating the router and going directly to the modem, there is only a blank page. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks DR
